Innovative Environmental Protection - Anaerobic Digestion Combined with Semi-Drying Technology

02 April 2024

With the acceleration of urbanization and the improvement of living standards, kitchen waste disposal has become a significant challenge. To effectively address this issue, TIC has introduced an innovative material digestion + semi-drying processing system aimed at maximizing resource utilization and environmental protection to the greatest extent possible.

The digestion + semi-drying processing system comprises two core sections: anaerobic digestion system for material digestion and a thermal drying system. The combination of these two sections aligns with the national policies and overall strategies for kitchen residue disposal, fully implementing the harmless, stable, reduction, and resource utilization processes of kitchen residue treatment.

Digestion + Drying Processing

1. Anaerobic Digestion:

Kitchen residue sludge undergoes anaerobic digestion in anaerobic digestion tanks. Within these tanks, microorganisms decompose organic matter in the sludge, generating biogas and slurry.

2. Biogas Utilization:

The biogas produced from anaerobic digestion is purified and then processed into the boiler to produce steam, which can be directly used as the heat source of the dryer.

3. Semi-Drying of Residue:

The slurry produced from anaerobic digestion is dehydrated and then pumped into the disc dryer for drying. After drying, the volume of the residue decreases, and its moisture content reduces, making it convenient for transportation. This dried residue can be utilized as biomass energy for incineration to generate electricity, thereby providing clean energy for the city.
