As we all know, industries such as smelters, printed circuit board factories, and electroplating plants often contain significant amounts of heavy metal elements in their wastewater treatment processes, such as copper, iron, zinc, chromium, and silver. Typically, these heavy metals remain in the sludge, causing serious pollution to soil and water resources. However, if we use sludge drying equipment to treat these heavy metals, or metal finishing sludge, the metals inside can be smelted and extracted. This not only protects the environment but also yields considerable economic benefits.


The sludge generated during electroplating wastewater treatment contains harmful heavy metals. It is characterized by easy accumulation, instability, and easy loss. If not properly treated and randomly disposed of, the direct consequence is that heavy metals such as copper, nickel, zinc, and chromium in the sludge may migrate along the pathway of soil, crops, and human bodies under the leaching action of rainwater. This could lead to secondary pollution of surface water, soil, groundwater, and even endanger the food chain, causing serious environmental damage.
